Now this is awesome. I was always interested in these two. You have made such a lovely piece, though. You have such a way with details, and I love the texture and the shading. The soft colors and darker tone makes it look like some old drawn photo in a sense, which I like too.
Oh wow, this is such a strange ship for me, but the image looks so great! I really love Tom, I think you captured him so well. And Minerva's expression, it's like she's as strict as she is when she's a teacher, so you captured her very well too. I like it
Believe it or not, this picture is actually how I discovered the Tom/Minerva ship! I was looking through your art (which is GORGEOUS) after seeing the Harry/Ginny piece in this Celtic series (such an original idea, BTW... how did you think of it?) and, like a lot of other people here, I thought "Voldemort and Professor McGonagall? That's an odd idea..." So I went and did some research, read some fanfic, etc. and now I'm actually quite a fan! I usually hate Voldemort ships in general, because his inability to love is such an essential part of who he is, but I can see that he could've been in love - to the degree that he was ever able to - when he was younger and not so evil yet. It's just more plausible than a lot of non-canon ships... and so I like it. And I wouldn't have discovered it if not for your gorgeous picture! Now, on to the picture itself (sorry if I bored you to death, there); I love everything about it. I love how Minerva already has a strict look to her features, even though she's young and pretty. This is how I picture a young Professor McGonagall would look, and you captured it perfectly. I love how his eyes are gleaming with just a hint of red. I love the possessive way his hand is curled around her neck - because he strikes me as the type who, if he ever WAS in a relationship, would have been extremely possessive. I love the way the Celtic knots look sort of like snakes! I don't know if that's on purpose, since a lot of Celtic knots just look like that, but it's certainly appropriate. Her snake tattoo is just funny. And WOW, that robe is hiked way up. Oh, and I love your drawing style of course! Everything is so perfect and detailed... it's amazing! Do you draw for a living, or is it just a hobby? Because you're good enough to be a professional! Um, that's all. Sorry this is such a long review. Although, if it was me, I would love a long review, but not everyone IS me. So sorry if you feel like this wasted your time.
